Our story begins with Efren, a first-generation Cuban American and second-generation brewer, who took on the mission to revive Providence Brewing Co. and continue his family's brewing tradition.
Our Legacy
Providence Brewing Co. once thrived as a cornerstone in the city it took its name from, fostering opportunity and community. As a second-generation brewer, Efren inherited his father's passion for brewing, inspired by the traditional methods and ingredients of Cuba's historic Cerveceria La Tropical brewery.
A New Chapter
Efren's unique Cuban American background and his craft dedication have set him apart from his peers. He is the only Hispanic American brewer revitalizing a historic American brewery in Rhode Island and the United States. This accomplishment highlights his commitment to honoring the past while forging a future that celebrates diversity and fosters a sense of unity in the brewing community.

To preserve the rich brewing heritage of Providence by producing high-quality craft beers, fostering diversity and inclusivity in the craft brewing industry, and promoting economic growth and community engagement through our innovative brewing incubator program.
